BYE BYE ANXIETY

Do you often feel fearful and anxious even when you know there's nothing to worry about?  Are your thoughts and emotions controlling you, rather than the other way around?  If you really are in danger, fear and anxiety are completely appropriate and useful responses.  These primitive responses are inherent in us to keep us safe.  However, there is no tiger waiting to pounce on you when you want to ask your boss for a pay rise or a promotion – but the anxiety that you associate with the asking may prevent you asking for that pay rise or applying for the job you deserve.

Anxiety can have devastating results on a person’s life; they may stifle their career because they are too anxious to step out of their comfort zone; they may put up with unpleasant relationships because the anxiety stops them speaking up for themselves; they may become socially isolated.

Feeling anxious when you are somewhere perfectly safe and secure is very uncomfortable for the person experiencing it.  Even though they can’t explain why they feel that way, they just do.   There may have been times in the past when they’ve had genuine reasons to feel anxious about something that is going to happen or about something they have to do, but somehow this feeling has become generalized to lots of situations where it doesn't belong.  Anxiety feeds on itself, growing ever bigger by focusing on how bad things could get and it can end up taking over your life, imprisoning you in an iron cage of anxiety and worry.

Hypnosis can break the anxiety cycle for good
Hypnosis is a quick and safe way to free you from anxiety by unlocking that cage allowing you to live the life that is inside of you waiting to be set free. Our beliefs sit in our unconscious mind and we are limited by some of our beliefs, in this case anxiety is the belief that there is something “bad” waiting to happen to us.  Hypnosis is a brilliant tool for accessing the unconscious mind and putting the inappropriate anxiety feelings behind you, freeing you to do all the things you have been wanting to do …. Ask for that pay rise; go for that job interview; give a presentation; leave that unhealthy relationship; join a social group …. The possibilities are endless.

Contact me today on 0408 696 089 to find out how I can help you free yourself from that anxiety.

Anni's Healing Garden Aromomatherapy Massage Northern Beaches Sydney
Look at this beautiful flower, it's Rose Geranium. Aromatherapy massage is just one of the many ways Rose geranium oil can be used to benefit a client.  Rose Geranium oil has a balancing effect on the nervous system and relieves depression and anxiety, while lifting the spirits and making the world an easier place to live in. It has a balancing effect on the adrenal cortex and is great for relieving stress.
Its haemostatic nature helps the body systems to balance themselves and since the adrenal cortex is stimulated and balanced, the hormonal system of the body is also corrected and aligned.  On the lymphatic system it has a greatly stimulating effect and with that helps with detoxifying the body and also affects female health in treating PMS.
A wonderfully relaxing Aromatherapy Massage at Anni's Healing Garden in Sydney's Northern Beaches is an excellent way to benefit from the relaxing and healing properties of Rose Geranium oil.
It has a general diuretic effect on the body and balances the water systems in the body, correcting any poor elimination of water and waste material. It is useful for treating jaundice, gall stones and can also be used for restraining nose bleeds and other hemorrhaging.
On the skin, rose geranium oil helps to balance the secretion of sebum and clears sluggish and oily skins, while the antiseptic and cicatrisant properties make this oil an effective aid to help with burns, wounds, ulcers and other skin problems.
SummaryThis uplifting oil has a great all-over balancing effect and this extends to the skin - where it helps to create balance between oily and dry skin, keeping the skin supple and clearing congested skin and the emotions - where it helps to relieve feelings of stress and anxiety, and to balance the hormone system.
  • Blended massage oil or in the bath
  • Rose geranium oil can be used in blended massage oil, or diluted in a bath to assist with PMS, depression, stress, anxiety and tension, fluid retention, edema, eczema, shingles, cellulite, bruises, ringworm, hemorrhoids and menstrual irregularities.
  • Burners and vaporizers
  • In vapour therapy rose geranium oil can be used to help relieve stress, mild depression, PMS, anxiety and tension, menopausal problems and for general energizing.
  • Cream or lotion
  • As a constituent in a blended cream or lotion, rose geranium essential oil can be used for clearing sluggish and oily skin, as well as wound, burn and ulcer healing and has value to treat eczema, repelling insects, shingles, cellulite, ringworm, bruises and engorgement of the breasts.

Anni's Healing Garden Chakra Balancing
Do you feel confused, have difficulty seeing things clearly and knowing what is important and what is not?

This chakra, called Ajna in Sanskrit means command or summoning.  It is also called the third eye and is the centre of your intuition, psychic abilities, wisdom, and imagination.  Everything you imagine, all your hopes and dreams and goals, your visions and aspirations are all part of your Third Eye Chakra.  It focuses your intelligence to know who and what are for your highest good and greatest joy, to distill wisdom from your life experiences, both good and difficult, to choose life, health, joy and fulfillment in every aspect of your life.

Colour:  Indigo
Crystals:  Sapphire, tanzanite, lapis lazuli, amethyst
Governs:  Eyes eyes, pineal gland, Base of the Brain

When the brow chakra is in balance we see clearly and understand what we see. We are able to interpret visual cues, our intuition and perception are high. Our thoughts and internal communications with ourselves are healthy and vibrant. We have perspective on events and ideas. We are open to new ideas, dreams, and visions. We can be quietly observant, and reflective. We can control the flow of energy within all the chakras.

When the brow chakra is out of balance, the whole organism suffers. Without perspective, nothing makes sense. You will be confused, have difficulty seeing things clearly, and knowing what is important and what is not. You will not have command of your body or your thoughts. You will suffer headaches, ear aches and have vision problems. You will be unable to work through problems or puzzles. Things just won't make sense. You will be disoriented and confused.

THROAT CHAKRA

Anni's Healing Garden Chakra Balancing Throat Chakra
Do you find it difficult to express yourself or say what you want or need?  Is your creativity blocked?
The 5th or Throat Chakra is your communication centre.  Artistic expression is also associated with the throat chakra.

People with unbalanced throat chakras can hide their feelings and are not connected to their higher truth. They say yes when they mean no and find it difficult to ask for what they need or to speak up in an unhappy situation.

A balanced Throat Chakra enables us to express ourselves verbally and creatively from a place of personal integrity, allowing our verbal and creative expression to shine.

Vishuddha in Sanskrit, fittingly means ‘pure’. The 5th Chakra is located in the area of the throat.  It is the first energetic centre that differentiates man from all other life forms as speaking gives us the power to express ourselves on every level of experience.  The throat chakra is also one of our emotional centres, think of the ‘lump in your throat’ you get when you feel sad.

Colour:  Blue/turquoise
Crystals:  Turquoise, blue agate, blue quartz, sodalite, aquamarine
Governs: throat, neck, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, jaw, mouth, and tongue

THE HEART CHAKRA

The fourth Chakra, Anahata in Sanskrit, is located at the centre of the chest at heart level and is at the centre of the seven chakras with three below and three above. This is the area where physical and spiritual meet.  Anahata means “unstruck” or “unhurt.” The name implies that beneath the hurts and grievances of past experiences lies a pure and spiritual place where no hurt exists.

Has your ability to love yourself or others shut down? Do you hang onto past hurts and live with a shield around you?  Balancing your Heart Chakra will remove these old, stuck emotions and make way for love and acceptance to flow in.

When your heart chakra is open, you are flowing with love and compassion, you are quick to forgive, and you accept others and yourself.  It is a love that has integrity and is not based on co-dependence.  A closed heart chakra can give way to grief, anger, jealousy, fear of betrayal, and hatred toward yourself and others.

Colour:  Green/Pink
Crystals:  Emerald, malachite, jade, aventurine and rose quartz.
Governs:  Heart, thymus gland, lungs, breasts and the lymphatic system.

BALANCING THE SACRAL CHAKRA

Picture
The second chakra, Svadhisthana in Sanskrit.   Located above the pubic bone and below the navel, it encompasses the belly and genital region (hence it is called the belly or sacral chakra).

Creativity blocked? Emotional? Suffering sexual dysfunction?  Balancing the Sacral chakra will help you.

You have an infinite amount of creative energy within you, so use it, start playing like a child – children are in the moment, they fall and they get up and go again. Free yourself from having to be perfect, doing your best with your own flavour to it is extremely liberating, be proud of that!  Start nurturing yourself (no, it’s not selfish!)

The second chakra, Svadhisthana in Sanskrit is also known as the creativity and sexual chakra. A balanced second chakra leads to feelings of wellness, abundance, pleasure, and joy. When this chakra is out of balance, a person may experience issues with mothering or being mothered (nurturing self), emotional instability, blocked creativity, sexual dysfunction, depression, or addictions.

The word Svadhisthana can be translated as “the dwelling place of the self”. You can open this chakra with creative expression and by honouring and nurturing your body.

Colour: Orange.  Crystals: Amber, Carnelian, Orange Calcite
Governs: Adrenal glands, kidneys, bladder, large intestine, sexual organs, lower back, hips
